Why SEO

why a seo category?

it’s a hobby or more?! all started with Info Mauritius in February 2003.

We did a small website about bungalows in Mauritius. seeing after a while, that rank in the search engine position 600+ …no one will find our website, so why some webpages rank top in Google & Co and others are down.

After some research in the www, i discover SEO (search engine optimization) , people try to understand the search engine algorithm. And to this time SEO Chat from Darrin Ward been the place to look for informations. Later seo chat been sold and other people created other seo forums, like Webby from ABAKUS a German speaking SEO website. There i spend some time and discover the last information needed, to put Info-Mauritius.com to the top of Google.

After some time now, i did not really followed the field to close, as my interest swap to different things. but now i discover again, the love to SEO, SMO (social media optimization) or SLO (latent semantic optimization) or SEM (search engine marketing).

I will use this block to share my knowledge and hope to build some online network, as I’m far away and not able to attend meetings. i hope on this way, i will get some contacts, anyhow you are most welcome to contact me by skype “stefan_mertes”.
